Extremely low performance with close objects

Hi. I've created simple scene - just three walls (each one is deformed cube with textures) and added ability to move camera. So when my "room" located far from camera - all looks good. But when i go closer (means move camera closer) - performance slow down very strong, so even just rotation of camera takes 2-3 seconds. And textures looks distorted. May be i just did something wrong? Or problem not with scene / model, but with engine?

This is a known problem. It has to do with clipping. The clipping that is implemented today is primitive, at best. We're not clipping the polygons against the view yet, when we get that finished the performance should not drop.

The distortion you're seeing is also a known problem. It has to do with the fact that the polygons are drawn without perspective correction at the moment, so large squares will have this effect. One way to get around this is to tesselate your object and add more polygons to it. This is ofcourse something we're looking to fix as well.
