Help optimizing balder

I'm only getting 20 to 25 fps with approximately 350 polygons on the screen from debugging in Visual Studio.  Outside of Visual Studio, I get 25 to 30 fps.  I only have 3 directional lights.  I figure I have to be doing something wrong with this.

The game has the tiles of the ground stored in a grid, and each tile consists of two triangles.  About half of the tiles have a building on them, which is just a cube.  My scene hierarchy is a container for each tile, and if the tile has a building, the building is under another container which is under the tile container.

I'm doing my updates by adding my update method to Game.Update event, and am calculating my fps from within that method.

Thanks in advance.
