Quaternion interpolation

i'm trying to make a camera smooth animation in a spherical rotation way.

I think i should use quaternion slerp interpolation but (newbie question): How can i get my object's rotations within a single quaternion ?

Is there a sample illustrating what i'm attempting to realise ?
